The fakery of Bushmills

A national newspaper is reporting that a recession-hit town has painted over the windows of twelve empty shops so as to give the impression that they are still in business.

Bushmills in County Antrim (part of the United Kingdom) is home to fewer than fifteen hundred people, and so twelve empty shop units is a rather depressing statistic.  Furthermore, this town enjoys proximity to the tourist destination known as the Giant's Causeway, which you might think would be beneficial to its economy.

Maybe one day the United Kingdom will have a government dedicated to prosperity for everyone, not just the elite.  Then maybe the painted windows of Bushmills will be replaced by flourishing businesses.

A good way to start would be to bring all the troops home from Afghanistan, closely followed by abolishing overseas "aid".  Those two things alone would save over a billion pounds each month.

Are you a member of a political party which supports those policies?  If not, then gaze upon the painted windows of Bushmills and admire YOUR handiwork.
